More About Me
Hope Grietzer is the 2009 inductee into the New York State Fiddlers' Hall of Fame. She teaches group and private fiddle lessons full time, and leads both adult and kid fiddle tune jams.
Hope is president of the local chapter of the New York State Old Time Fiddlers' Association, and while living in Colorado was voted Rocky Mountain Region Fiddler of the Year by the Colorado Bluegrass Music Society. She is also the author of the instructional books and CDs, "Learn to Fiddle" and "A Fiddlers' Guide to Building Repertoire", available at www.happyhollowmusic.com.
The "Tune of the Month" on Hope's website is accessed by hundreds of fiddlers across the globe, from Russia to Australia and points in-between.
LESSONS:
Lessons are available both in Owego, N.Y. and Binghamton, N.Y. The primary focus is on northern fiddle styles, although for students who are interested we can also dabble in a bit of bluegrass and southern styles.
