hello all, thanks for writing, been busy as a bee. including my practicing. I can now play cripple creek more or less. carry me back to old virginie is difficult for me. got twinkle twinkle down......: )
my fiddle has also become more stable. At first I had to tune it even after an hour. then it went through this strange little hiccuping session until it found its spot, and now it will stay tuned for days and days. the bridge needed a tiny adjustment once and then it settled also.
Ive been working on the songs I mentioned and some other exercises. been pretty diligent, every day for about an hour, or til I get tired. Its too cold to go outside and one can surf the internet only so much. jumping up and working through a song, trying to get the fingering and the bowing and the timing right. Quite satisfying.
must get back to practicing....
