I was born and have lived in upstate SC my whole life. Have played stringed music since 1971. Started as a bluegrass bajo player. In 1974 I had the pleasure of hearing Kenny Baker and Butch Robins play an endless list of fiddle tunes under the big Oak tree at Shoal Creek Park at Lavonia, Ga. It was a life changing experience - almost like a religious experience. I' ve been hooked ever since.
