Guy is an amateur musicologist/musician interested in the music of Africans in the Diaspora (North, South, Central America and the Caribbean). I came to Old Time music seeking to better understand the subtleties of the 5-string banjo which led me into the world of the fiddle. I love all music, all styles and am particularly interested in the roles of African Americans to early American Vernacular Music. I am here as a student to learn from all of you.
