Played guitar most of my life, plus a little mandolin, banjo, and dobro. Took up fiddle a few years back when I became hopelessly infected by Cajun. Took enough "violin" lessons to douse the bad habits before they got too well ingrained and I'm basically self-taught since then. Why? Because Mid-Michigan, for all its Bluegrass and OT culture, isn't exactly a hotbed of Cajun music, meaning I've got to drive all over the state to find a jam - or play alone! But I know you're hiding out there somewhere! La recherche ça continue!
