I'm working on the tune Londonderry Air in Craig Duncan's Advanced Fiddling. One section has double stops going back and forth betwee B/G abd C/A. I find it easier to just use the 1/3 fingering sliding up and down easier that the stretch required for 1/3 to 2/4. However the stretch, while more difficult avoids the slide sound of the 1/3 shifting., but, like I said the stretch is hard. How do most fiddlers do this fingering?
