Hello Fiddle players,
This is my first post here as I am a trumpet player and my 6 year old son is taking violin lessons at school.
Me and my wife purchased a Universal Student 1/4 violin at a local music store for him. While in class one of the kids mother's was there with her 2 year old who was unsupervised and grabbed my sons violin and threw it on the floor and the neck broke and seperated from the body. After some debate with the mother, music teacher and the program director, she offered to put money toward a new violin for my son. The school sells Eastman student violins but they are more than she will contribute so the program director of the music program offered my son a used Strunal 220 to my son for the money.
As fiddle players would you take the Strunal 220or put the extra into an Eastman.
I want to introduce my children to music the proper way and they also have a guitar and pocket trumpet.
Thank you,
-Robert
