As I am returning back to Maine and my everyday grind...Leaving Kentucky again from a wonderful family thanksgiving holiday. I want so bad to play... Every time I go back home to Kentucky to visit I get a chance to play with a local guitar player and his banjo playing son. We play in my home church where my father pastors. When I get a chance to play with these guys they bring the music to life! Gets me to the point of itching and pacing to get on the stage to play. It's probably the driving southern sound that I'm so used too. Or maybe the fact that these guys really live out what they sing. Here in Maine I have a fine group of guys I perform with, we don't practice a whole lot because of schedules and living 30 miles apart which is alot in Maine because of the rurality of the state.
My prayer is that God allows me to let the music live in me here like it does down south. Our maine band is really starting to click, we just don't have alot of time to practice together. I have so much more fun playing and learning with other players. My question has been should I find more people closer to my home in Maine to simply jam with?

Grew up in Western Ky Near Land Between the Lakes, and also Green River. Moved to Maine 6 years ago but love any kind of bluegrass music and don't really lean towards complications in life, just like to keep it simple.
