Acquired a fiddle about 1948 but learned only basic stuff until I started working seriously on it about 1980. For years only played the occasional breakdown or waltz, etc., on stage. From 1981 thru 1999 fronted a Blugrass Band and since then my wife Ovaline and I have performed as an Acoustic Music Duo. I haven't yet played solely fiddle in a band except for ad hoc guest situations. For the past 8 years have included some fiddle playing in our acoustic duo programs. I look forward to playing fiddle regularly with a working band when the opportunity presents itself.
