My interest in music started in 1987. I began playing fiddle with my dad and my uncle, singing and playing classic country music. We played music from Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, George Jones, and many others. I was introduced to the world of Bluegrass in the early 90's. I also took up mandolin and guitar along the way. I began playing in Bill Rogers' band, Southern Station performing venues in South Mississippi such as festivals, churches, and get-togethers. In 1993, I joined up with Gold Wing Express in Branson, Missouri at Mutton Hollow Entertainment Park. We did five shows per day six days a week in the Cedar Mountain Music Hall [quite a work out]. Gold Wing still performs in Branson and plays festivals across the U.S. They are a fine group of guys with tons of energy. After Branson I returned home, joining Boley Creek, a Country and Southern Rock Band from Picayune Mississippi. Boley Creek was a very dynamic and original group. I had a lot of fun performing with them. After my stint with Boley Creek I hooked up with The Rick Tanksly Band, a contemporary country group. I traveled with Rick playing clubs and casinos across the U.S. I lived in Tennessee for a time. While there I worked with Jimmy Bowen. He started up a band after his time with Continental Divide. Later I worked with Bradley Walker. Bradley's on Rounder Records and has won the IBMA's male vocalist of the year. This honor was well deserved. Bradley's a super guy and great singer. I'm presently performing with The Jason Boone Band, a group of great guys who play good music
