I always wanted to play the fiddle. Now that I am retired I thought this is as good a time as any to start learning. I am self taught and have never had a teacher. I learned by purchasing children's beginner books, like Brian Wickland's American Fiddle Method. I can now read music and play about 50 songs, but I need a teacher ( or someone to hang out with) and am searching for someone locally who is willing to help me learn to really play the fiddle. Living in a small town ( 13000) along the California Coast it's not easy finding a fiddle player, so I have sought online courses and sources of information.
