Thought I'd pop this up here in case anyone in the SW doesn't know about them; Wren Music run several folk orchestras, as well as a mandolin orchestra in various locations thoughout Devon.

No auditions or waiting lists (which is how they got me), just contact the lead for each orchestra.
There was also some talk about the possibility of setting up a fiddle orchestra (for all the violin family), I think the new year was mentioned.
