Fiddle Workshop at KDHX Folk School in St. Louis April 19

From charlie.walden on 4/14/2014 10:14:37 AM

Hey Ozarkers, I'm doing a workshop this weekend at the KDHX STL Folk School this Saturday from 1 to 3 PM. We’ll play some signature tunes from one of Missouri’s National Heritage Award winners, the late Lyman Enloe. Lyman was from the Upper Ozarks - the south central part of the state and learned his craft from another famous old time fiddler, Tony Gilmore of Jefferson City. Primarily a dance player, in later life he moved to the Kansas City area became known as a Bluegrass fiddler. His playing was very smooth and melodic. For fiddlers and mandolin players – intermediate level and above. Tunes will be taught by ear and imitation. Notation and TAB will be provided after the workshop. Audio and video recording permitted.
