I’ve written a lot of arrangements of fiddle tunes (contest and dance) but all are what I know are public domain. I want to do an arrangement of Wild Fiddlers Rag by Howard “Howdy” Forester but for the life of me I cannot find the copyright holder. I have even searched some of the national copyright places, but to no avail! Does anybody know the copyright holder? I have it in several books, but only that book was copyrighted.
Same with some of Spade Cooley’s fiddle instrumentals.
Help! If you can.
Thanks in advance

Some online searching shows copyright held by
Pappy Daily Music LLP, Glad Music Publishing & Recording LLP
they started Starday records way back when
Seems first appeared on Big Howdy Fiddlin Country Style, 1963, UA 3295
You could maybe check with Robert Forrester, Howdy's son, if he is still alive.
Hope this helps.
