My allergies have become so bad that I have had to switch to Clarity, which supposedly is 100% synthetic and contains no pine rosin.
FWIW, my observations:
- Clarity does indeed reduce my allergy symptoms.
- Clarity requires a bit more weight on the bow to properly grip the strings.
- Clarity doesn’t last as long as other rosins that I have used -- it needs to be refreshed more often.
I took me a while to get used to the Clarity “rosin". But all in all, I’m happy with the switch -- mainly because I can play with less interference from allergy symptoms.
