The jam desperately needs a bass. I've been invited and encouraged. I really don't have anything more to prove on a fiddle.
Played bass for the whole session yesterday. I guess I'd rather be useful and yet always learning. Learning stuff one doesn't learn in any other situation. You have to be "in it." There's a lot of responsibility in that one(1) note.

BASS is the BEST! Glue to the mix. Backbone to the system. Heartbeat of the Jam! No bass? No groove...that last one is not true but good on you for carrying the big torch! I learn so much while playing bass. If you're able to play and not pay attention to yourself, it really helps to watch others in action. I learned to play bass by keeping beats simple and watching the bass player.
