Recently I got to jam with some of my favorite musicians. The guitarist was the first person I ever jammed with about 30 years ago. This was quite the reunion. I started out playing music in a garage, mostly instrumental back then because no one wanted to sing...or could for that matter.
I've had this lineup in mind for a while now and finally made it happen. Jazz, Funk, R&B and Blues is what I was longing for. We captured about 8 tunes in our first session. Here were 2 takes on some classics. Hammond, E Bass, Drums, Sax and Guitar

Agree!!
What's your guitar gear?
If i had the space, I'd have a B or C3. I used to have an M100 that a friend has now, it ticked most of the sexy Hammond boxes when paired with a Lesley speaker (a buddy of mine had a collection of them, sold one to the beastie boys when they were playing in Minneapolis decades ago).

I was on drums.
Brent Burgee on Hammond
Bill Sinclair on Sax
John Lanehart Bass
Jeremy West on Guitar.
We captured 8 total songs. 3 videos but I was not happy with the video. The other tunes had some flubs I'm sure they didn't want people hearing...lol.
All instrumnetal. We did Tax Man, Sissy Strut, Ain't She Lovley, Root Down and they Love Each Other. More to come!
A real treat.
There was a time when this was the music I played (guitar) and listened to, pretty much exclusively. Not so much these days but the honky tonk band I'm playing in does a bunch of Garcia songs so I've been listening to my Dead collection again. Steel player, a country boy raised on bluegrass, loves the unpredictability of Jerry's compositions.
