Are you referring to the AI answers that were copied and pasted in the beginning of the thread or a post that's been flagged and deleted?
If it's the former, I would agree that it's a bit ridiculous to rely on the program to check its own accuracy. The ouroboros comes to mind. If it's the latter, those have disappeared already.
No, I was referencing the newly created account that commented on this thread and that has all the hallmarks of a bot. A few like it have popped up here in recent months, added a few generic comments, and then gone to ground. Since it seems benign (no spammy links to show malign intent), I am reluctant to flag it but I couldn't overlook the irony...

I see. I've noticed a few accounts that seemed suspicious lately here as well, but since the replies have mostly been relevant to the discussion topic and there haven't been any pivots into sales scams, I haven't flagged them or suggested they were bots in case they were really new members. If an account turned out to be real, I'd hate to put the owner off.
One thing that always seems eerie to me is when I can recognize the source of an AI scrape. I’ve seen it scrape some of my own posts and I recognized text it had scraped from a wholesaler’s website recently. It’s creepy to see your words being presented by a bot and it’s aggravating when they’re cobbled together with a number of other text sources that don’t actually work together.

That's remarkable you've had your own posts "scraped" and then you saw them reposted. The bots must find you irresistibly quotable.

It was unsettling. I recognized part of a post I'd written recently. A few words had been altered so that it wasn't 100% identical.
