More About Me
Jennifer Louie is a violin/fiddle teacher in residence at The University of Alabama's Community Music School. All lessons are taught on the Moody Music Building campus She teaches bluegrass, celtic and old-time fiddle. She welcomes adult students including college/university students. Her lessons are taught privately.
The most successful fiddle students that I have in my studio have demonstrated the following below:
1. Must be available to attend lessons by the semester (same day and time) each week. It is hard to make progress if a student misses lessons and costly as there are no refunds or makeups for student-missed lessons for any reason. Most students whom start with no instrumental studies will need at least a year of study to be introduced to the style. If a student has taken violin studies before or on another instrument, it may be less depending on the amount of effort and practice.
2. Must meet all financial obligations/sign a registration contract to The University of Alabama's Community Music School as well as provide their own instrument and supplies.
3. Must be available to practice daily in order to make excellent progress on fiddle. A practice plan can be tailored to your needs.
