Old fiddle tune played on mandolin and guitar. I think this is Clyde Davenport, but am not 100% sure. I play both instruments. Still learning this on fiddle.

FANTASTIC! I love your fiddlin-on-the-mandolin posts. You too have been sucked into the vortex of Old Time music. You think the way I do about this music and about the fiddle -- I'm not sure if that should frighten you or not. Since your having as much fun as me, and it's wholesome, I think that your kith and kin having nothing to fear on your behalf. My friends and family have come to accept it, and my 82 year-old dad is even toe-tapping to it. I mute my fiddle to have mercy on them and to permit conversations to take place without me getting shushed.

You are wayyy smooth on that mando! I speak as a mando wannabe (I play some). I wouldn't say it's real similar to the Clyde Davenport version, but you have a good version that stands up on its own.

Being a guitar and mandolin player myself (wanna learn fiddle) playing old time music, I love to these recordings. It's very encouraging. I gotta learn this and some of the other fine tunes you have here. It's a great pleasure getting to know you.
