I can't pick out the words on the recording, but the tune sounds like the one that I associate with "Old Yellow Dog Comes Trotting through the Meeting House." On the chorus, we sing something like, "Young boys die . . . " and it has the same rhythm and punch that I hear these people singing with. Cyndy

Definitely "Old Yeller Dog Come Trottin' Through The Meeting House" which has an A part that sounds similar to "Old Gray Mare".
