i guess i am!! especially since the recording " the champion" came out with 80 tunes on it, I also really like the Ed Mahoney versions of tunes that you shared.

It seems that Uncle Bob and Ed Mahoney traded tunes. Their versions are almost identical: phrasing, ornamentation, smoothness. Uncle Bob picked up tunes from Lonnie Robertson, too. They played over the radio together in South Dakota, and in an interview that Christeson did, Uncle Bob says, "Boy, he sure had some good tunes!" Another player who should be better known, IMHO.

I think Pete McMahan recorded a tune under this title in the key of A.
But it's a completely different tune I think. Guess I'd better go back and listen to it.
