So, can somebody identify this tune? I think I picked it up at an Old Town School of Folk Music jam. I expect that I'll be quite embarrassed at the answer but not knowing the title bugs me. TIA

The tune is Cowhide Boots, from Missouri fiddler Lyman Enloe. He recorded it on his Rugged Road cassette that the MSOTFA reissed. Lyman was a really good, smooth fiddler. You should check out the original source: much to be learned from his timing, tone, and articulation.

Thanks! I knew I was going feel stupid when I heard the title. BTW, countysales has "Rugged Road" by Carthy Sisco with Cowhide Boots. Is that what you meant?
