I'm almost always a bit surprised at how a good Bluegrass band will interpret a traditional fiddle tune - sometimes pleasantly, sometimes unpleasantly.
I liked this version though - nicely done....

Gee, thanks guys!
OTJ, I learned this tune while I was living in Minneapolis. I actually learned it while attending a flat picking guitar jam. This is almost exactly how the guitar players played it, and I first learned to flat pick the tune. I later transferred it over to the fiddle. Funny thing is, when I recently went back to Minneapolis for the Mid Winter Festival (Mar 2008) everyone there played it the same way!
Curt, one question for you. When you listened to this tune, were you drinking beer, or coffee??
