Very nice! Beautiful tune, well played. I had to listen to it twice. The second time, I figured out it's in 6/8 time, but for some reason, the first time through, it felt like some odd meter that I couldn't catch. It has the feel of an ancient time, with the skirling pipes and whistle. This would make a great movie soundtrack.

Both tunes are "slip jigs" I think - in 9/8 time.

I don't know OTJ. I'm getting an even number like 6 or 12. The 9 just doesn't seem to fit, or I should say that EYE can't seem to make it fit. Maybe Sara will enlighten us.

Hi, thanks for the comments. OT Junky is right, they are slip jigs in 9/8 time, although as I don't read music I don't know where the nine or the eight come from. Apparently only slip jigs are truly native to Ireland, everything else was borrowed from other cultures.
