This one has a few titles, not all of which are related, and evidently there are some variations in how it is played. I first learned of it as Dixon's Hornpipe. The next title I learned was Coming Down From Kansas. Kansas City Reel seems to be the most popular title.
You and your jamming friends did a wonderful job on this tune. The only different sounding part in your version is the second measure of the B part, where you go modal for that measure. This tune has been on my to-learn list for a while, and now that I am having lots of fun with hornpipes, I am going to work on this one as well. I will remember your modal measure as a variation to use in a fiddle filibuster (long playing solo) version. Thanks for posting this Peet.

Nice Job PEET. When are you moving to the USA. Soon I hope. The first part of this tune sounds a lot like Angus Campbell. btw----my brother lives in Kansas City.
