Good for you - most people play the "watered down" revivalist version of this tune.
You - on the other hand - are tackling Tommy Jarrell's version of it. And Jarrell's bowing on June Apple is about as subtle and challenging as it gets on A tunes.
I think you're close - but not quite there. Please don't take this as criticism. I haven't gotten it yet either. But you're version is already a lot more interesting than the revival version.
Congratulations for what you've gotten so far. In fact, you could almost stop there and have a fine version of your own - with just a bit more work. After all, there's no reason to copy Jarrell exactly - once you've "stolen" his best licks... ;-)

Thanks for the nice comments. Actually this version is based just about exactly on Bruce Molsky's version (with a couple almost unnoticeable variations).
OTJunky, I don't take your words as negative at all. In fact, to hear someone tell me I'm close to Tommy Jarrell when I haven't even been playing for year is a hell of a compliment.
