Very nice playing, but I think the fiddle needs to come up in the mix, especially with that nice airy tone. (Usually I don't like 'em like that, but it really fits the piece well!)

Yes, you're right. I know the fiddle was weak in the mix. I've figured out what I was doing since then. I started posting some old fiddle tunes to a site - Kompoz.com ( a musical collaboration website where musicians can share, add, and mix tracks together via internet. The problem was that the fiddle was the original track and after other tracks were added, the first track kinda' got muffled in the mix. Since then I've learned to download each original track and mix them myself for a final mix. It's a really neat site. Kinda' like Fiddle Hangout, in that you can upload tracks of music, but they go one step further and let you add to other mucisians original tracks of music. Would be neat if Fiddle Hangout could do that, since they're focus is on oldtime fiddle music. Bet members would enjoy arranging tunes together. I've recorded and mixed tracks on Kompoz.com with folks from Bakersfield, CA, Norcross, GA, Naperville, IL, and even Manitoba Canada. It's a really neat concept. Only problem with Kompoz.com is that they're geared more for modern music. Not much in the way of oldtime.
