A work in progress (warts and all). I learned it (more or less) by playing along with an MP3 on FHO posted by Glenn (http://www.fiddlehangout.com/myhangout/home.asp?id=543). The banjo is a Chuck Lee custom, 11-inch, walnut rim, no tone ring. Banjo is tuned fCFCD, capoed at second fret for the key of G.

Nice pickin', Don. I downloaded this file and loaded it onto my Reaper Mixing Program. Hope to get some time tomorrow night to add a fiddle and guitar track to it. When I get it mixed I'll re-upload it to the Hangout so you can hear the mix. In the meantime, if you have some other oldtime banjo favorites you can post, go ahead and post them and I can download them to add the fiddle behind. If you get a chance to figure out the Kompoz.com site, would love to have you add some banjo to some of my postings, or just download some from the Hangout and add your banjo to them. I think I can handle the Liza Jane in G, but I'm not sure I can do much with Arkansas Traveler in F. Can you play it in D? I do most of my tunes in D and A on the fiddle. Get more double-stops that way. Like your pickin'. Very nice work. Post some more, or send me some mp3's and I can add the fiddle behind them. Next time you're passing through Jackson, give me a shout and we'll pick a tune or two. We have a weekly jam session here in Jackson every Thursday night.
