A great Irish tune Ed. 5 stars & 2 thumbs-up to ya. Say....what would'ya call the bowing technique used in the middle of this tune & @ the ending ? Great fiddlin.

Thanks for your kind words. Actually the first tune in the set is "Paddy on the Handcart" an Old Time tune, next is "Doon Reel" an Irish reel, and last is "Mouth of the Tobique" a French Canadian tune. I couldn't tell you what bowing technique is used, I'd have to ask Colleen. If you'll tell me what part of what tune your interested in I'll ask and let you know what is said.

All the best!

Peace,
Ed

Nice playing and terrific matching for a great set.

An alternate title for the first in the set is Paddy on the Turnpike, and I have it on one or more CDs played by Alan Jabbour. Serendipitously, I am presently learning (and hacking) Mouth of the Tobique - thanks for the brief notes about its origin.
