Here's the Tucson Old-TIme Music Circle playing SAMATPAD up to speed. I think it's a fun catchy tune, especially with the two extra crooked beats punctuating each A part and every pair of B parts.

Thanks, Steve. I understand it's a Burl Hammons tune, though I'm not sure he wrote it. I think the girls may have gotten it from Jimmy Triplett. Rhys Jones has a terrific version of it (that he calls "The Creek's All Muddy and the Pond's All Dry" on his Mississippi Square Dance album. You can sample that clip at CD Baby.
