Also New Fiddle - Red Haired Boy. I happen to like the minor version of Paddy on the Turnpike; learned it from John Chambers many years ago. Recorded live at Buell's Orchard in Eastford, CT, 10-13-08. I'm on fiddle, Paul Harty is on guitar and harmonica, and my son Eric Eid Reiner is on piano.

Very kewl...

This is the G Modal version that I used to hear called "Old Paddy on the Turnpike".

I play this too, but not may people do. I can't remember where I picked it up.

Do you remember where you got it?

OTJ-
It's a minor variant of the Irish version that I learned from John Chambers (of J.C.'s Tune Finder fame) long ago in Madison.

That's interesting...

There was a John Chambers down in the OT Music Circle in Tallahassee during my "formative" years in the 70's. I think he was in graduate school and from Wisconsin. Wonder if it's the same John Chambers you know.

But, now that I've searched my cob-webbed memory banks, I think the G Modal version of Paddy on the Turnpike is also in Cole's.

Your extended medley reminded me of a jam session I enjoyed listening to in Stickerville at Weiser where they played non-stop. As they were near the end of a tune someone would call out another. I missed the beginning but started recording, and it was still 28 minutes and 38 seconds before they finished.
