good goin 2wheeled,i just started to learn the fiddle in the last few day's i had to wait for my dvd to turn up,it's called Introduction to the fiddle- for beginners by Jim Tolles and the first song he teaches is mary had a little lamb so when i learn it i'll have to post it and we'll compare lambs.Keep it up.

thank you for the complament, but your making me feel bad as in i havent picked it up in over 2 weeks......
i had gotten a second banjo and some add on parts and next thing i knew, both banjos were disacembled at the same time(bad idea) as my homemade 3 banjo wasnt playable so i was with out any banjo and thats just not right......
but setting in to the add ons and rebuild so much iv totaly neglected the fiddle im just starting on too......
good news is on banjo is back together and the finishing touches or going on the new one and by this afternoon i should be putting on a new set of fiddle strings and getting back in to Sallie Goodin in A......... but i still love warming uo with MHALL...... its fun to add to it as thats how im getting the drop tumb in banjo, by adding it when i get bored with the basic melody....... im doing the same with the fiddle...... taking the basic thing and play it till its boring then add to it filling out the song in to somthing thats not booring....lo 
youll be playing it soon and ffaster and faster thats when you should add to it.....
dont know if this all made since .... its 6:30 am and im on half a cup of coffee lol

Another banjo player,I've got two as well. One handmade "not by me"and i have an old harmony reso-tone which i love, i play it more than my handmade one.When i need to work on them i do one at a time i would'nt like to be without a banjo for to long, i've got the bug bad,i get the shakes if i cant play it every day.
