Congrats! 60 plays already! You'll have to teach us the "Railroad" tune when you get back! By the bye, it's bloody cold and wet here! Cheers, John T

Forgot to mention. I've signed up a few more HOT String Band members to Fiddle Hangout. Cheers again, John T

Cheers again and again. Nice to see this becoming an international hangout! That's Tom helping me out on the banjo on Railroading Through the Rockies and Bonaparte. I've been telling all my American friends how cold and rainy it can be in Tassie. :-) That way, there won't be hundreds of them coming all at once for the old timey sessions. Personally, I expect to be back there for another 12 months +/- come October. For those who might not know, the HOT Stringband stands for Hobart (TAS) Old Time Stringband. More hillbillies than you can poke a stick at.

Dammie! Another tune that upon hearing I grinned - played so fine I seemed to know it! (and now I do! That railroadin' is very cool!)

Thanks. When not coming in on a medley as in this recording, I like to start out that Railroading Through the Rockies with a very slow, exaggerated, scratchy slide up the D string up to the A unison. Sounding as though the train was just starting up.
