This is not me playing, it is a friend. He learned it from an old, long deceased fiddler who told him the name of it is "Leave Her With A Smile". However, despite my formidable Google skills, I can't find any evidence of a fiddle tune (or any song, for that matter) by that name. It could be an original tune by the old fiddler, or someone else, that was never published. But the melody sounded vaguely familiar to me when I first heard it. It sounds to me like a Polka tune. I'm guessing it's a known tune with a different title. Anyway, I'm uploading this clip in the hope that someone can help me ID this tune.

Thanks Loup. I just listened to the Patsy Montana version of "I Want To Be A Cowboy's Sweetheart" on Youtube. The chord progression is definitely the same but the melody varies enough that I would say this a different tune. But very similar, however.

The mystery has been solved. The real name of the song is "Leave Me With A Smile", and their are multiple versions of it floating around on the web. The one this is based on is probably the 1937 Western Swing version by "The Tune Wranglers".
