I made this tune up almost twenty years ago, and never came up with a proper name for it. It is just designated Fiddle Tune No. 2 on a cassette tape that I recently rediscovered, and since it has remained otherwise unnamed for so long I might as well just call it Old No. 2. I'd like to think a good flatfooter would have some fun with it. The fiddle is tuned GDGD, using the old-time A432 standard pitch.

i'd love to see more folks pitch down to a432- sounds better, and easier on the strings and instruments too.

Kenny, you're the best. I just learned this tune (off YouTube) but didn't realize you wrote it. It's haunting and fantastic. We're heading to Clifftop next week. You going? Bob Hudson (jeeterbob).
