Ha - the rosin at the end of the fingerboard gives you away as a fiddler. I keep the rosin cleaned off my fiddle so as to remain incognito and appear to be a violinist. Moreover my repair folks would give me a hard time if I didn't keep it clean, and they charge dearly for cleaning rosin residues, even on the bow.
