I have an old antique silvertone that was my first electric. It still plays good and I love it. Nice to meet you, you are an interesting person. Love to paint myself.....although it's kinda' ruff when you want to take the paint off yourself, especially the oil paints....don't have a problem with acrylics, they don't produce this shrinking feeling on your skin. LOL! Just joking, do like to paint tho'.

I ALMOST bought one of those about 8 years ago-
walked into the pawn shop with $100 to buy it,
but I'd hemmed and hawed too long and it was gone!
So I bought me a solid wood stratoid guitar, and it's been
mostly Strats (or stratoclones) ever since.
Strats are VERY comfortable contourwise,
and give you a bunch of tones.
Still, that Danelectro sounded funky cool on blues....

Hey Fiddlepogo. You shoulda bought it, if only for the profit-potential. Dano reissues hold their value well, and then some. I formerly had a reissue lefty U-2. When I sold it, it fetched $100 more than I'd paid for it. $100 for a DC-59 was a VERY good price. But it sounds like yer doing fine with yer Strats.

I used to play a Danelectro made Sears Silvertone bass in a punk band in 1979-1980. It played really great.
