Brought over by one of my fiddle students. Put up a version of Chicken Reel on the jukebox to commemorate the event. This is the first rooster we've had in a few years, though we have laying hens. He's to be the guest of honor at Sunday dinner.

Certainly you know the recipe for concrete-rooster stew. Put the rooster in a pot, cover with water. Then add an onion or two, a few carrots and potatoes, parsnips, a bit of salt and pepper. Maybe a couple sprigs of rosemary. Simmer an hour or so. There you go!
