I love it! I can't get enough of pictures like this and this one is especially good. The only bad part is that you can't hear a picture, I so wish there was a way that we could know what the people in these old photos sounded like, what tunes they would play, or hear them sing along.

There is a way (sort of). This fellow from Mississippi who's name excapes me at the moment- John Hatcher maybe?) was recorded by Herbert Halpert for the Librabry of Congress in the 1930s. He can be heard on the recording Great Big Yam Potatoes, an anthology of MS fiddle music.

AFS 3002-3003: John Brown. Inka, Mississippi. Recorded by Herbert Halpert, May 1939. LOC Recordings.
Brown, John Alexander
Appearance as principal performer Dusty Miller, Great Big Yam Potatoes. Anglo-American Fiddle Music from Missi., Southern Culture AH002, LP (1985), cut #A.12 [1939]
Info gathered from the internet. I have the LP Great Big Yam Potatoes and it is a dandy collection of great Mississippi fiddling.
