thanks bj! well, there are a few scuffs, but she is well loved and to my old-timey ears she has a beautiful tone. once i get a few tunes under my belt i'll let you guys hear for yourself. and thanks for the heads up on the case. i know next to nothing about new cases, so i'll have to get lookin'.

Those scuffs are the marks of those who came before you. I have a theory that tunes embed themselves in the wood of old fiddles, and when you start playing one of those tunes, you'll know it instantly. The fiddle just comes alive in your hands with no sense or reason to it, even if you've never played the tune before and play it badly. That's why I love old fiddles, they're "preprogrammed" for success. The things are alive, I swear! The more you play her, the better she'll sound.
