I read a number of comments on strings and noticed that no one talked about Jargers. I haven't been playing fiddle for a very long time and am just picking it up again. The bushing was messed up on my fiddle and the repair person put pegs on that are like guitar pegs, which I am ambivalent about. Then she put on Dominant strings, which I was not used to at all though I am starting to adjust. But back in the day I had used the jargers. I play backup to singers, and sometimes various fiddle tunes, but not reallly bluegrass style at this point. I wonder what people think about the jargers. I realize it partly is a question of how a string sounds on a particular fiddle. Thanks all!
