Colonial Inn Irish Session Deluxe!

Sat in on an inpromptu session in one of the very small bars in the Colonial Inn in Concord, MA during the Fiddle Hell weekend. Started with a couple guys on fiddles and after 4 hours had 12 players with some SUPER fiddlers! The Guinness was flowing and the music was fabulous & non-stop.

I attended an Old Tyme Southern jam and want to get some tune books featuring that style. Can anyone make a suggestion?  I had not heard any of the tunes and really liked the tunes and the style and want to learn more on my own.

Taught myself guitar starting at age 11. Played folk and pop mainly. Picked up fiddle in 2005, then a year later mando. No teacher but do attend seminars, workshops and camps around the country. Play & enjoy all styles "jack of all trades, master of none". Have a small band and do lots with band in a box.
