I need tips

I'm trying to learn all I can about how to fix some cracks on a violin correctly. 

I've work with wood most my life and know quite a bit for guys my age.

So far I know that i need hide glue, and small pieces of spruce to patch the crack.

I also need to know how to safely take off the sound board so I can strip it and refurnish it.
