Bluegrass Legend Fiddle Player Leonard Rutherford will be honored in Somerset, Kentucky on Saturday 3/22 at the Somerset Cemetery at 2:00 pm. The ceremony will be held on Rutherford's 116th birthday; he was buried there in an unmarked grave in 1951. The ceremony will be to place a new marker and Harlan Ogle of the Wayne County Historical Museum will speak about Rutherford's short life (53 yrs), and recordings of his music with Dick Burnett will be played, along with live music from a distant relative Everett West. The public is invited to attend and more information is available at the Somerset Cemetery's Facebook page.
