Mark your calendars for the 2014 Downtown Branson Fiddle Festival & Mid-America Fiddler’s Championship, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 2–3. The 26th Branson Fiddle Festival will feature food, demonstrations, strolling entertainers, workshops, and sidewalk sales. Nationally known judges have the tough job of deciding who will win $5,000 in cash prizes. The Fiddling competition will be in the Historic Owen Theatre on Commercial Street in Historic Downtown. The contest is Saturday, Aug. 2, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. Saturday. There is NO entry fee to contestants. Pre-registration is greatly appreciated. Fiddle contestants will receive reimbursement of festival admission at time of their registration into the competition. Tickets for ages 13 and up are $8. Tickets for children 4-12 are $4. Children 3 and younger get in free. Workshops will be in a private conference room Friday, Aug. 1. Pre-registration for workshops is strongly suggested. Sunday, Aug. 3, will be a continuation of our Festival from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with craft vendors and family fun events like a petting zoo, balloon artist and more.
Complete the 2014 Downtown Branson Fiddle Festival registration form to participate in the fiddle competition - FREE to Compete - and return it to the Downtown Branson Betterment Association (DBBA).
