Favorite Bands/Musicians:
I enjoy a mix of traditional and contemporary fiddle music. Some of my favorites include Mark O’Connor, Natalie MacMaster, and Alasdair Fraser for their incredible technique and expressive playing. I also appreciate folk-inspired bands like The Chieftains, Altan, and Nickel Creek for the way they bring storytelling and cultural richness into their music.

I’m a long-time music enthusiast with a deep appreciation for traditional fiddle music and the communities that keep it alive. While my professional background is in management and international collaboration, music has always been an important personal outlet for me — a way to slow down, focus, and connect with people beyond professional roles and titles. I was drawn to the fiddle because of its expressive, honest sound and its strong ties to cultural storytelling. I enjoy exploring different styles, listening to traditional recordings, and learning how subtle variations in rhythm and phrasing can completely change the feel of a tune. For me, playing and listening to fiddle music is as much about the shared experience as it is about technique. I value spaces like Fiddle Hangout because they bring together musicians of all skill levels who are willing to share knowledge, ask questions, and support one another. I’m especially interested in discussions around practice habits, tone development, and the cultural background of traditional tunes. When I’m not working, I enjoy practicing at my own pace, exchanging ideas with other players, and discovering new interpretations of old melodies. I believe music is a lifelong learning process, and I’m here to listen, learn, and contribute where I can.
