I can't find the video file locally, but I did post this on Facebook. I don't know if it will be viewable here. Will Facebook permissions take over. I'm concentrating so hard, grimacing, as I struggle through "Twinkle twinkle little star."

At 58, I finally got possession of my grandfather's violin from my sister. Built by my grandfather's brother in Clarksville, Arkansas, in 1922. My wife gave me some lessons for my birthday, so I have been playing since May 2011. I'm a welcome surprise for my teacher since I'm an adult, willing, and already play multiple instruments (woodwinds, guitar). However, this bowing is entirely new to me. Can't figure out why I can do vibrato on the guitar, but it's so hard for me on the violin. Part of my problem is keeping the bow moving steadily as I try to rock my left wrist. Now I'm enjoying playing some of the Irish tunes I originally taught myself on penny whistle from recordings.
