Learning Arkansas Traveler

Finished The TomBigbyWaltz awhile back and decided to learn The Arkansas Traveler. So far it's doing well. Maybe someday I will have the courage to post a vid/sound file to The Hangout. It's been just short of one year, (10mos) since I touched my first violin/Fiddle and I have 12 songs in my repertoire. Wish I had started as a child or young man instead of this late in life. When is it I should try to learn vibrato and develop it?

I always wanted to learn music especially Appalachian Mountain Fiddle Music but never thought I could. Now at age 51; I have decided I will do it. Lord Willing; I will be pretty good before I leave this world for the next. In another life, my wife would be a Skruggs style Banjo player. Can I have a do over?
