I am a professor at Virginia Commonwealth University, have lived in Richmond since 2007, an interest mainly in Scottish and Irish fiddling, though an appreciation for other genres. Been playing fiddle--off and on--since 2005. It was my one "midlife crisis" manifestation that I'm glad to hold onto, though I haven't played enough over that decade. Tired of just playing for my own ear, but a little shy still playing around others. A nice, forgiving group to jam with (one that doesn't expect too much out of this fiddler) would be a great situation.
